I am pleasantly surprised. I have read and watched countless reviews of Vangoa 12 strings, but none seemed to be by accomplished guitarists or people who don’t typically play 12 strings. The reviews are mostly positive so I decided to take a gamble. Very glad I did.First, it is actually all solid wood. You can tell right away by the weight. It is very light, which does make it top-heavy. Get a good suede strap because this guitar sounds gorgeous. The strings that came on the guitar (plus an included extra set) actually sound pretty nice. Be sure to stretch them good before tuning up and they’ll sound better and hold tune longer. The tuners are high quality and handsome at, I believe, a 1:18 ratio. The wood, stain and finish are beautiful. It’s a thin body, so I was concerned about the sound, but it projects well and has the light “jingle” sound most people look for in a 12 string. The frets are flawless, and the fretboard is rolled on the edges. The extras I don’t care about, but they are nice. It comes with a pretty nice capo, extra strings, a tuner that is surprisingly versatile, a nice strap, a cleaning cloth, extra picks, a pick guard and a chord for an amp hook up. The cons are few. The bridge and string pegs are both crappy and I’ll likely replace down the line. It is very top-heavy and will require a nonslip strap. Though it sounds very nice, I do wish it was even just an inch wider. The body is only 3” deep and would absolutely SING if it was just a bit wider. This is an outrageously good buy. This has the quality and features of a guitar 4x the price of this one. I sincerely hope that the working conditions of the craftsmen who make these are humane and safe. I’m not sure how they can sell this at this price point, but it is an excellent buy!
